This week was a rough week. I had a lot going on and couldn't quite focus on ceramics so well. I failed to make anything on monday, so I decided to use red clay on tuesday and succeeded in making something, although it was veryy off center. I footed it wednesday, and then thursday I got my act together and whipped out two pretty nice bowls. I want to make a big bowl set, so I figured I might as well start now. I'm pretty happy with how they both turned out.

Second week back was a success!! :D This week I made a very nice small bowl, and footed it PERFECTLY! I also made two other similar projects but butchered them when I footed them :( but you cant tell by just looking at them so it's all good. I also made a wider bowl type thing that was a failed attempt at a tea pot. It's frusterating. I will make a teapot someday..

So! This was my first week back in ceramics since last year, and a successful one at that. I made a pretty nice pitcher that dried on the top half overnight, so after I footed it I filled it with wet clay so it will moisten in my locker till monday and I pulled a handle for the pitcher that I will then attach. Everything came back to me quickly, centering, footing, choking ect. which was surprising. Also this week I made and footed a tall vase that I was really proud of, as I'm not very good at pulling such tall projects without throwing them off center, and I typically suck at choking them. I have high hopes for this semester though and I'm excited to be back! I want to make a whole bowl set, and cup set, and just be much more creative altogether in my wheel work, hand and wheel, and glazing!
